  • So what does msgbox cost? +

    Msgbox service for your phone number, for two users, including the website 'chat' add-on, costs just $90/month on a 1-year term (plus small setup fee). As with most phone services this gets billed automatically to your credit card each month.
  • What kinds of things can I use msgbox for? +

    Book reservations, take appointments, create customer profiles, track sales inquiries, internal staff communication, answer requests, expedite transactions, keep track of multiple conversations across digital devices. Use msgbox for anything you can think of!
  • Where is msgbox available? +

    Currently, anywhere in Canada and the USA. However, we are looking to spread our wings to cover other countries.
  • Do I need to notify my current phone provider? +

    No. msgbox is a completely independent service from your landline or toll free phone carrier. Your current voice service and plan are not affected. msgbox is not included on your telephone bill and is charged separately.
  • Do my customers need to download an app to see my messages? +

    No. Your customers use the native texting app on their phone and interact with your business as they would sending a text to a friend. Your customers are not required to download anything or adjust settings and you reply to them via our easy-to-use web application.

User Login

Provide self-service options where users can text a 'keyword' and have the system respond with a predefined, specific response.

Access the Msgbox Conversation Manager from a desktop, tablet or mobile phone. No software or apps need to be installed. The responsive design allows users to simply use the browser of their choice

Msgbox is designed as a multi-user system. Multiple users/agents can monitor and respond to incoming messages. Messages can be transferred between agents or saved for future reference by all users.

Dashboard

The conversation dashboard provides a way to monitor all activity on the system.

The dashboard displays the number of active conversations, new conversations waiting to be picked up (red), conversations in history, as well as the number of preset and auto-reply messages.

Active Conversations List

The conversations tab lists all of the active conversations.

New, unanswered messages are highlighted in 'red' and display the current 'wait' time.

Active conversations that have been answered display the name of the user/agent that is currently managing the conversation along with the total time spent in the conversation.

Message/Chat Window

Double-clicking on a conversation in the conversations list opens the message/chat window.

From here the complete message thread can be viewed. Responses can be typed or selected from the list of preset messages.

Clicking on the 'Send' icon sends the message as an text message back to the person's phone (or back) to their screen if they are using the web chat feature.

Messages can also be ended by clicking on the 'End' icon or transferred to another user/agent by clicking on the 'Redirect' icon.

Message Redirect/Transfer

Msgbox is designed for multiple users/agents. Conversations can be managed by and transferred between them.

Clicking on the 'Redirect' icon in the message window brings up a list of users and groups.

Selecting one of those from the list assigns the conversation to that user or group and tags it as a new message waiting for that user/group.

Conversation History

A log or 'history' is kept of all conversations that take place in Msgbox.

The complete thread of every conversation is recorded by Msgbox and can be (re)viewed by any user.

The search option allows users to search for any word, phone number, name, etc. in the conversation threads.

Preset Messages

Save time by setting up 'preset' or saved messages.

Preset messages can be set up in Msgbox and recalled in the message/chat windows to save from having to (re)type responses to common questions.

Preset messages can also be used for responding to messages where the response contains specific details that could be easily mistyped if typed manually every time. This could include URL's, address and or phone number details, etc.

Auto-Replies/Keywords

Provide self-service options where users can text a 'keyword' and have the system respond with a predefined, specific response.

Keywords can be set up to automatically respond only if they are the first word in a message or alternately if they appear anywhere in the message.

For example, the keyword HOURS could be set up to automatically respond with the business hours. Msgbox will repond to a simple text message with just the word hours or with the full phrase what are your hours.
